Directory of Funding Sources

Is fundraising frustrating you? Then the 2004 Directory of Potential Sources of Funding for Injury and Substance Abuse Prevention Projects in Ontario may be just what you need.

Originally compiled by the Alcohol Policy Network in the summer of 1999, and edited and updated between October 2003 and February 2004, this 85-page resource features:

  1. practical tips, links, resources and worksheets for developing successful funding proposals, managing the funding relationship and working with community partners;

  2. over 150 corporate and community funders, including foundations, service clubs, united ways, social marketing programs and sources of donations in-kind; and,

  3. over 50 federal, provincial and municipal government grants programs and funding streams targeting community health and safety, homelessness, chronic disease and injury prevention, health promotion, social determinants of health, access to technology and a wide range of other issues.

While targeted to individuals active in substance abuse and injury prevention, this directory will be useful to a wide range of grassroots community groups.
