The Directory of Substance Misuse and Injury Prevention Contacts is published annually in print and electronic [PDF] format [1.5MB]. Over 75 copies have been distributed to key groups in Ontario. To order a free bound copy, fill out the online Order Form.
The 2009 edition contains:
- Up-to-date information on the people, programs and resources in injury and
substance misuse prevention in public health units across Ontario
(Section 2), including a Keyword Index of public health activities (Section 1).
- Contact information and weblinks for over 200 community groups, government
agencies and departments, with events, products, and services related to your
work (Section 3).
- A comprehensive guide to online statistics, a list of commonly-used
acronyms, summaries of key government agencies (including the new Ontario Health Promotion and Protection Agency), summary of key policy documents, and a list of
suggested readings for "Newbies" (public health professionals new to the substance misuse/injury prevention field). (Section 4).
