Speaker - Robert Solomon, L.L.B.
Robert Solomon obtained an LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School and an LL.M. from Yale before joining the Faculty of Law at the University of Western Ontario in 1972. He has been engaged in research on alcohol and drug policy, and tort and health law for over 35 years.
He has authored approximately 70 articles and more than 120 government reports. He is currently the National Director of Legal Policy for MADD Canada and a member of national and international traffic safety organizations. The International Council on Alcohol, Drugs and Traffic Safety awarded Professor Solomon the 2007 Widmark Prize. This is the highest honour that the Council can confer and is awarded for “an outstanding, sustained and meritorious contribution to the advancement of traffic safety science and research.”
