Speaker - Dr. Norman Giesbrecht
Norman Giesbrecht is a Senior Scientist, Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, Toronto and affiliated with the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, University of Toronto. His research includes: impacts of policies on drinking-related harm, assessments of the policy development process, impacts of drinking patterns on trauma and chronic disease, and community-based prevention strategies. He has been involved in several WHO-affiliated projects, and is currently the chair of the Publications Board of APHA. He is active in chronic disease prevention organizations in Toronto, as well provincially and nationally, and as is the co-chair of the Ontario Chronic Disease Prevention Alliance.
