Alcohol: No Ordinary Commodity Forums
Public health professionals have expressed the need for appropriate opportunities for professional development on relevant health issues in Ontario. The idea for these forums originated with Thomas Babor's landmark book, Alcohol: No Ordinary Commodity - Research and Public Policy (now in 2nd Edition). From this, a main theme for each forum was selected. The emphasis was on professional development, information and knowledge exchange, and recommendations for action. Detailed information from all past forums has been distilled into a comprehensive Forum Guide and Recommendations document [PDF].
