Road Vision Safety 2010 [PDF], Annual Report, Transport Canada, 2005. A review of Transport Canada’s strategies to reduce impaired driving and keep our roads safe. The vision is to “have the safest roads in the world” and with statistics showing that the 2001 vision was very successful in reducing fatalities and injuries from unsafe roads the 2005 vision aims to be just as successful. The vision calls for a 30% decrease in the number of road users killed or seriously injured during the 2008-2010 period as compared to the statistics from the 1996-2001 period.
